The Forge was on the opposite end of the room. Mami had made sure of that. She didn't want to go near it, didn't want to have anything to do with it. She already thought enough about that day on her own, but now...
Now everyone knew what a horrible, thoughtless, selfish person she really was. That her kind and caring exterior was a fake. If she was truly as loving and thoughtful as she presented herself, she would've saved her parents. She would've wished for the accident to never happen. She would've wished to start the day over again so she could be nicer to her parents.
She sat on her bed, curled up with her forehead resting on her knees. She thought about what she'd done that day. Had she given Mama a kiss? Had she hugged Papa? Had she told them she loved them?
She couldn't remember. And that was the thing she hated the most.
