[Fingers lightly resting in the crook of Lupin's elbow, (is that a new coat? I just might be.) she makes her entrance. Mostly covered by a coat as well (it's chilly after all), and looking around at the crowd assembled for any familiar face.]

It's an ...auction. Did I mention that? It's to raise money for a memorial for the... [Pause.] ...for those of us who've left.

Do they have them in your world?

[Passes a table full of baked goods. Headtilts. Thinks about eating but doesn't.]

[Buttons. Buttons. Slips the coat from her shoulders and turns her back to him. Looking back over her shoulder:]

Under his breath, a little close to her ear,] Just glad I'm not being asked to chaperon.

[she wouldn't let him get away with not, so he went ahead and looked her up and down, not letting his eyes register anything except her sleeves and feet; then locked gaze firmly back on her face.] With you in that, I'm doubtful order can be maintained for long and grateful it isn't my job to try.

[Now armored with a smile, he draped her coat over his arm, eyes never dipping lower than her chin, and gave her a brief kiss on the cheek.] I'll be watching from the back. If you need a quick escape, just give me a signal. [He tapped the side of his head in demonstration-a thumb shy of "shoot me".]

[She catches him looking but not looking, and she smiles slyly. Huffs in the tiniest expression of displeasure (although she's secretly pleased - hey, it's a challenge!)]

[Inclines her cheek as he kisses it before she turns toward the stage area.]

I'm sure I'll be just fine. But I'll keep that in mind. [Smile.]

[She's here for the food, mostly. Zack-Zack had let her mess about with some of the decorations and a lot of her favorite people were here - with one significant absence with which she still wrestles - so she's having a good time. At the refreshment table, she noms muffin after muffin, gladly filling her belly with stuff she won't get yelled at for taking.

That bidding thing looks fun too, though. She glances over her shoulder, muffin in each hand, and considers making her way back toward the stage to take part, despite the fact that she hasn't really been paying enough attention to know exactly what's going on.]

[Dawn is BEAMING. So. Many. People had turned out for this! The reasons may have started as somber, but spirits weren't as she feared - people were having a good time, and Zack --well, Zack was Zack and this was awesome! And ...hey! It was Zack's friend, Trevor's friend, one of the pink haired brigade! Hadn't she seen her helping with the bows and the banner?]

Hi! [Derpsmile go.] Take as many as you want! Alphonse made them especially for the auction!

They're good! This one kinda tastes like bananas!
