Cloud had left earlier that day to go hunting in the Mist. While she was hardly the one to fret, the Mord Sith did grow suspicious when the blonde fighter didn't return. Suspicion turned to annoyance before Cara had no other option but to head out and search for her wayward partner ( ... )

It still hurts, doesn't it? Again. The Dog talking to him, every minute of the day, telling him things that he didn't want to hear. Frowning, he rubbed the back of his neck and did his best to ignore the voice. Seeing as it was inside of his head, it was easier said than done.

Heine shifted slightly, distinctly aware of the night chill, especially within the hunting grounds. Starting slightly as the sounds of someone clearing brush started from one side of the clearing, he stared warily in the direction the sounds were coming from.

"No," he answered shortly. Not now. Not when the Dog was whispering something even less useful than usual, shit like doesn't she remind you of someone?

No, he thought, and tried to unclench his fingers from around the edge of the rock.

She stared impassively at the odd little man off in the distance. The short reply was one where Cara doubted he was hiding anything - not when it came to Cloud's possible whereabouts. Yet there was something about him that put her on edge.

"Hn, you will call me if you see any signs of the one I seek," Cara ordered before taking a few steps towards the male. Dealing with people on a social level had never been one of her specialties, and it was a talent she lacked even more while on a mission. "Have I made myself clear?"

Heine raised an eyebrow as the woman continued. She made him... uneasy, certainly, but that wasn't entire uncommon. Her way of talking, though, and the way she kept coming closer? Well, he wasn't feeling at all calm by now.

"You're a bit demanding, aren't you?" he asked rhetorically, leaning on his arm as he spoke. "I haven't seen him, and I doubt I will."
