[Merlin smiles a little. It's nice to see a dream that isn't horrible. Traumatizing.]

[But then he realizes that the other guy isn't here. That maybe he's missed. And that makes his smile fade.]

[He should at least say something though.]

Uhm...did you ever try spearfishing?

[Ginko's expression is veiled when he gets around to replying to this--he's glad it wasn't anything more than a good memory of Sniper, but there are a lot of memories he wouldn't want anyone to see.]

No... that place didn't stay that long, though. [A tiny pause.] I'm assuming spearfishing is what it sounds like?

It's a little strange to explain... [He smiles faintly, not sure how this person is going to take it.] But it was a place that changed. One day you could be in a bright, sunny place, and the next you could wake up in the middle of a blizzard. I heard some older residents talking about one time it turned into Hell.

[He shrugs. Take that as you will, he didn't see it for himself.]

Hmm. Sounds interesting... have you ever done it yourself? [If the water wasn't apparently polluted around here, he might be interested in giving it a try.]

Sounds...unusual, to say the least. How would you ever know what sort of clothes to lay out for the next day?

Oh yeah, plenty of times. I'm rather good at it, if I do say so myself.

Ah, well, we mostly lived in the... upper part. That stayed stable, more or less.

Well... if the fish around here are okay to eat... maybe you could show me sometime.

[He doesn't much like hunting for hunting's sake, but if they're going to eat the fish that's fine. And learning a new skill is always good.]

They have them in the marketplace all the time. I'll find out where they get theirs so we can be sure.

Do they. I haven't been here long enough to see what kinds of things they sell frequently.
