All right! A while ago, there was a man named Mello (although I don't think that was his real name) and he kept a guide that welcomed new people to the city and told them about all the things in it. That is... here. But he's been gone for a long time. So, I thought I'd kind of write a new one ( Read more... )

A Found Goods store....?

If they pick up things from other worlds, I wonder if they would have Duel Monster cards.

...do you mean those cards with the... [handflap]

That wasn't clear!

I knew someone who had cards and kept dueling people! Or wanting to? But not many people knew the game he was talking about. But there were little animal things that kind of made noises at me.

[Perks up at that. There were other Duelists here?]

[He takes a moment to flip through his deck before he holds up a card.]

Did the cards look like this?

Yes! That's.. pretty much what they looked like.

If you look around the network archives for ID#24095699 you can probably find his posts.

Oh, thank you!

[He takes a moment to go over what he's seen.]

Ah.... I don't recognize him. He probably Dueled on a different circuit. Or I missed him during Duelist Kingdom and Battle City.

I wouldn't know! But, I do wonder if his cards are still here.

Wouldn't they have gone back with him?

[Yuugi's gonna make it his mission to find them if they are, since no Duelist should be without their deck and he would make sure to keep it safe until the other returned.]

It's hard to say. Sometimes the things we bring with us go when we do - usually they do.

But sometimes they stay, too.

And if he found anything in the Found Goods store, they would probably remain.

Hm. If they are here, then I'm going to find them, if only to keep them safe if he returns.

A Duelist's deck is very important to them. As one Duelist to another, I couldn't let something happen to them, a Duelist's deck can almost be seen as an extension of their own self.

[He smiles slightly and holds up his own deck]

The one that came with me is the one that I built with Mou Hitori no Boku.

I don't know who that it! But... it's just that not everyone would think that way, even if it does make sense.

Mou Hitori no Boku is...

[He pauses for a minute, because how the heck do you explain that you shared a body with a spirit of an Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh who lived in the puzzle that you wear around your neck?]

He's one of my best friends. He doesn't have any memories from before I met him so I started calling him 'Mou Hitori no Boku' because we look alike. It means "Other Me".

[She gives a little nod.] I know what Mou Hitori no Boku means.

But... that story is a little weird. I don't mean that in a judgmental way! I just mean... it's unusual.

[There's a shot of his face in quiet contemplation for a moment, before he reaches out to grab his Forge. After fiddling with a couple of buttons, the feed is suddenly private and refocusing on his face.]

He's a spirit, he was sealed in the Sennen Puzzle [lays a hand on the gold puzzle hanging around his neck] several thousand years. When I solved the puzzle, I set him free and we're sort of sharing a body at the moment, only not right now because he's not here with me.

[Yuugi stops a moment to gather his thoughts before continuing.]

He doesn't remember anything about himself, but we have managed to discover that apparently he was an Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh who lived several thousand years ago. But there is no recorded history of his name or anything like that so the fact that he had been Pharaoh is pretty much all we know.

But why does he look like you? Is it just because he, err, lives in your... well!
