Piffle. It's a world I've been in earlier, and they had technology quite like this, only more advanced, I think.

[He sighs, looking more put-out than what he actually is, which is starting to get frightened.] It seems like no one has seen them. I don't know where they could've gotten off to.

They are most lie, likely still in your home, and I believe that there are say, safeguard-zuh in place to make sure the timelines of the world-zuh we come from are not affected by our being-ing here.

Do you mean that you have traveled to another dimension, shun, or another planet?

Well, yes, several other worlds in fact, that is what I meant by being a traveler. And that is why I'm worried, you see. Me and my friends were in the middle of travelling from one dimension to the next when I was brought here, and I'm afraid something might have happened to them because of it.

[That would be a cause for concern. If Ax had arrived in Anatole in the middle of a morph, he would certainly have been worried about the rest of him, stuck in Z-space.]

My theory, theer-ee, is that this is a pocket dimension, but I admit that I have not heard of someone arriving-ing under the same circumstances as you.

Most peep, people here have never even left their homeworld.

Hmm. By pocket, do you mean that you think it somehow stands apart from the rest of the universe, and that it perhaps works on different parameters? [Laughs.] Or am I running away on a tangent here?

But yes, I have noticed. Although the people on most worlds I have been before weren't aware of the existence of other worlds either.

If it is a tan, tan-jen-tuh, it is an interesting-ing one. I think that Anatole, toll-ay, functions under its own rule-zuh, and that the things, ing-zuh, that happen here are prevented from affecting-ing our homeworlds.

How do you travel between dimensions, shuns?

Perhaps. I rather hope so. If this universe is somehow separated from the continuum of all other dimensions, I might not be in a s much trouble as I fear. Provided I can find a way back, of course.

[Have a light laugh.] Well, the creature I was asking about, Mokona... it has the power of traversing dimensions, although it cannot choose where it goes.

[Ax believes that even the Ellimist is confined to one reality, no matter how much he meddles with it.]

I admit that I did not pay as much attention in class as I might have, but I am ver-ee sure that alternate ree, realities are inherently unstable, which Anatole has not shown, own, itself to be so far.

Well, Mokona is quite unique. [Have a small laugh.] And it is really quite a practical way to travel.

Hmmm, well I admit that when I studied different worlds, my focus was mostly on how to travel between them. But the worlds I have been in so far have all been very stable too.

Yes, it is slightly, lee, troubling-ing. I can accept that different dimensions, shuns, exist, and that we are in one, but I do not know nearly enough about their behavior. Hayve-yur.

Is there a particular reason you were traveling-ing between worlds?

You know, it has never troubled me much before. But then again I have never been in a dimension which practices kidnapping before.

[He makes a small humming sound, tilting his head slightly.] We are four who travel together, Mokona excluded. Two of us are traveling between dimension in search of something. One is trying to find his way back to his dimension. And me... [He shrugs nonchalantly.] I just want to make sure I never have to return where I came from.

I am not sure I would call it kid, kidnapping-ing. I think that we have been brought here for a reason, but I have not determined who, if enn, anyone, has control over who is brought.

Why do you wish, ish, never to go home?

Well, purpose or not, I'd rather say that bringing people against their will makes it lean a bit toward kidnapping, no?

[Shrugs lightly.] There is someone there who I don't wish to meet again. I have to keep travelling, or he might catch up with me.

[The man's decision is puzzling to Ax, and he thinks for a moment.]

Mmmm, that is true. Placing blame would be rather ill adviced at this point.

[Oh, that is so going to make him flinch.]

For me to face him is his wish, not mine. I have no desire to defeat him, rather the opposite.
