Of course! Can't be a good enough reporter if I'm not willing to deal with a little bit of danger. Kinda goes hand-in-hand with the excitement part.

[But she thinks for a moment, because what's more curious for her is why everyone seems so unsettled with the recent activity at the lighthouse. If no one could recall it being in use, then what reason did they have to fear it?]

I'm not sure. I was told others do, but some of them are gone now, and I've only just arrived. I haven't met very many people yet.

There's magic here, though. Father said that's what brought everyone to Anatole. That might be what's happening to the lighthouse, too, and if my dream was right...

What is a... reporter? Is it a messenger of some kind? You haven't any weapons, how do you defend yourself?

Magic? I guess that's... I mean, after what I've seen I can't really refute the evidence.

Ah, basically a reporter is someone who gathers information and makes it known to the public. [she reaches down and pulls the gun out of her belt loop, holding it up to the Forge]

But this is called a 'gun.' It fires small, pointed pieces of lead called 'bullets.' Depending on the lead it could cause more damage.

...That's pretty much the extent of my gun knowledge.
