[The Forge clicks on with the picture of Kaien looking up at the sky--which is finally sunny and clear again--at first, a soft smile on his face. The smile splits into his characteristic grin when he looks at the Forge directly, using his free hand to give a little wave at the network.]
It's great to see the sun out again. I was starting to wonder if it would come back, after that whole last week... [If he looks vaguely disturbed, it lasts for just a moment before the smile is back.]
I think I'm going to miss the snow, though. It really was beautiful. But hey, the winter's not over, right?
Anyone got plans for the New Year? This is probably not the best place to spend it, I know, but the least we can do is try to make the best of it.
[a slight pause as Kaien appears to be thinking about something.]
By the way, Byakuya? Could you meet me by the town square just before dawn tomorrow morning? There's something I want to show you.
