[The feed starts up with not a dream, but with Roxas sitting in what looks like a rundown attic and making sure the device is sitting against something properly to hold it up. He looks somewhat tired as hinted by the last audio feed he sent out a few days before, but he looks determined about something.]
You know what, I'm kind of sick of having the Forge record my dreams and stuff I can't explain. And I know that's what's going on right now, so...I wanted to test something out-- I want to show you guys what my world looks like.
[Leaving the Forge where it stands, Roxas moves to sit down on the floor not too far away from it before closing his eyes and letting his head drop a little. It looks like he's trying very hard to concentrate, but it takes a minute or so for the Forge to finally react with visual static scattering through the feed.
Soon enough, a twilight-lit town settled in the mountains fills the screen. It's peaceful, serene, and almost as if the town itself is in a deep sleep. The view begins to zoom now as Roxas focuses on navigating his memory's streets, passing small shops and watching a tram go by as he takes an uphill road. Finally, the feed arrives just outside a train station with a tall clock tower built into it and standing at the peak of the town. More static as Roxas' mind transitions to the top of the clock tower with a phenomenal view of the whole town and the dying sun just beyond the wilderness that surrounds it. Something changes and Roxas splits off from the feed's view and inserts himself into the memory; it's a normal day after a mission and he's sitting on the ledge of the tower with his two best friends.
It's perfect, everything's perfect. If only he could be stuck in that memory.]
Axel...Xion...I'm sorry. I messed up.
[It's a faint thought, probably not meant for the broadcast but still carrying all the pain and homesickness behind the message. Regret, guilt, it's all there too but muddled and confused. Even if he wanted to go home, he can't-- there's something very important he needs to do first.]
