~24~ [video] ♥ --memorial--
[It's a familiar sight to some people. The memorial for those who have left Anatole. Yachiru's Forge is set up where it sits propped up in her wagon. Amongst the assorted items scattered around it - her bow and arrows, a windup elephant, a dusty old jacket - there is a fishbowl with one goldfish swimming inside. There's a large sword (compared to the fish, at least) stuck into the stones at the bottom of the bowl. Beside it is a stack of paper tags with writing of some kind on them. Yachiru gathers the tags up into her arms and speaks without looking at the Forge.]
Zack-Zack liked when I drew pictures for him. We were going to make a whole gallery. He was going to help me.
[She takes the first tag from the pile and it spins slowly on it's string. On one side there is a drawing of a person, and on the other a name. This one says "Angelin."]
It was going to be at his and Angelin's house. But they're both gone now so I guess this place is pretty good.
[She finds a branch and hangs the tag from it. She takes each of her hand-drawn tags one at a time, carefully finding a branch to hang them from. As if each one is a precious thing. Next is one labeled "Hisa-chan", then "Saku-chan", "Uten-chan", "Shun-Shun", "Jo-Jo", and "Sen-chan". Until she is left with only one tag still in the pile.]
Zack-Zack went away before I could show him I got a new black crayon.
[For some reason this is extremely significant to her. The last tag she holds to her chest for a moment, almost hugging it before letting it down to spin on its string in front of the Forge. On the opposite side of the little drawing is written the name "Zack-Zack." She hangs it on the highest branch she can reach.]
That's all the drawings I have for right now. And I don't really want to do anymore for a while.
[She sniffles a little.]
Xerbie, I'm gonna bring Gilly-chan the fishy home with me, okay? Now he's like me because Zack-Zack is gone and he has nowhere else to go. His bowl is little, he won't take up too much space.
