[Growling blares through the speakers as the Forge is turned on. Mechanical clinks and clunks follow. The screen remains dark until the device is wrenched from the mouth of a dire wolf pup. The lens is smeared with slobber. The pup's tail is wagging profusely.]
[With a sigh Isley wipes his palm across the camera's eye. He becomes visible, canine saliva no longer obscuring the view. His mouth is upturned at the corners. The expression would suggest amusement if his brows weren't ever-so-slightly furrowed. It seems the two combined are indicative of mild tolerance.]
[The pup yowls.]
[Isley glances toward it, then shakes his head slowly.]
[Tolerance and mild curiosity.]
This is not food, Senji.
[The Abyssal wags a finger at the wolf pup only to have the digit bitten instead.]
[The Forge is dropped and shuts off momentarily.]
[Several minutes pass before it is turned back on. Isley sits with the young dire wolf on his lap, its ears lying flat against its skull, eyes peering up at him. Apparently it just received a lecture. Nevertheless, its tail shifts back and forth in defiant mischief, dusting the ground as Isley combs his fingertips through the creature's thick coat of wiry fur. None of the digits bear wolf bite marks.]
It seems I've found myself a pet. It is a little unruly, much like his namesake. In order to accommodate him it seems I will be moving, however. In the meantime, I will be housing him in the Patrol Headquarters' stables.
Rigaldo, I expect you to accompany me when the move is made. And Yachiru, once I am settled in I would like it very much if you would visit. It's been a little while.
