Combat and magic, mostly. What are they charms for?

They're protection charms. What kind of magic do you use?

How do they protect if they're just charms...?

And, uhhh...Healing and elemental magic.

The charms are infused with a protection spell. You read out the word that's written on the back of the charm to activate it.

Hmmm, don't think I've seen anything like that then. Sounds cool. Is that how you usually use magic?

No, actually. I cast spells from books - spellbooks, I mean.

Really? I know someone who uses magic like that. For me...it's just kinda like a flow and I can use magic whenever as long as I have the energy.

Yeah, I can do that too. Just with a different kind of magic. What you do, it sounds like manipulating the mana around you.

Mana? Never heard of that before.

Huh...I don't know if mine's really that. I never got much of an explanation either, but I've learned a lot without knowing exactly what it is.

I was born with my gift too, but I didn't actually start using it until I was ten. I didn't actually realize I had it.

I'm Gwen. What's your name?

Well, technically someone told me I could use magic, and then it was kind of...automatic. Didn't really have to do much except realize that I could use it.

Roxas. Nice to meet you.

Huh. It was automatic for me - sort of, but no one told me I could use it. Once I figured out I could, and got my hands on a spell book, I started training myself. So I could help my friends.

What's your world like?
