We have been plagued by troubles recently. Not a week goes past, it seems, that Anatole is not inflicted with some horror or another. Despite all this, we prevail.
I shall be holding a tourney. In celebration of our strength, in an attempt to provide an outlet for the growing aggression of all residents of this city, and most importantly, for fun. [ a soft chuckle. ]
Some of you myself or my assistants may have already approached about assistance with funding. The response from Native shop owners has also been better than I expected. So do not be concerned if you do not have the equipment for the fight, as it shall be provided. Where we're going to get horses, though, is another bloody matter entirely.
There shall be a tournament of swords held in the traditional style, where participants may match their fencing skills from different worlds against each other. As this is a contest of skill with a blade, participants will be disqualified should they use a weapon other than an ordinary sword or any abilities or powers they have beyond that of a normal human.
I will accept fighters from Priscilla's world to use their Claymores, but fair warning, you will be matched in a tier of your own so as to give those without innate powers a chance at first place, and the prize.

There shall also be an archery or marksmanship demonstration, where points shall be awarded by guest judges; a joust; and a melee.
To sign up, you may tell me here, use my Forge message function, notify me in person at the Patrol Headquarters, or submit a written request to be passed on to me. I can provide a concrete list of rules for each event on request.
Fair warning, however! The melee is open to all participants and is a no-holds-barred combat. You will risk injury and even death by entering. I shall hold no responsibility for those who wish to foolishly throw away their lives.
If you have any ability as a physician, though I know Anatole is short-handed, I shall also be willing to pay for your time assisting those wounded in combat.
Further information shall be forthcoming, and any offers of assistance will of course be appreciated. We have already proven that our greatest strength is our ability to work together in the hour of need.
