It's fascinating, the things one finds lying around in this city. For example, in recent days both body parts and the bodies they belong to have simply been tossed out for the bird to pluck dry. This is hardly surprising. Anatole been quite full of dead things, lately. In only a few weeks, we have seen the corpses of prostitutes, a strung-up soldier, the abandoned limbs of warriors, and the tormented body of a...[He curls his lip a bit] cat.

[There is a tinge of distaste in his voice at that last one. And there is a reason for it. In fact...]

I must admit, I find the last of them rather tasteless, as well as a useless gesture. For a display of power, it's hardly notable or impressive, as anyone with an intellectual capacity surpassing that of the slain beast would, themselves, know. This leaves only excessive force and a taste for sadism. Both are rather barbaric, as motivations go, and worthy only of disdain. One could call them the actions of a weak soul, and a weak mind.

It's the sort of thing that really ought to be left outside the city gates, you know... little witch. [He chuckles, softly.] But of course, I wouldn't expect someone of your caliber to understand. And I suppose there's something to be said for having a talent at acquiring enemies... if not for defeating them.

[A short pause; Aizen shifts in his seat, and taps the Forge idly against the arm rest.]

As it happens, one of those charming little dreams paid me a visit, as well. I believe it involved an airship.

Shared dreams... isn't that interesting?
