[There is something hollow and raw about her voice. It could have something to do with the fact that she spent the night on the floor of Roy Mustang’s apartment. Not sleeping, unwilling to get up. It could be the weight of this unfathomable loss, hollowing her out since she saw the body yesterday.

The man who shot officers Mustang and Hughes yesterday has been killed. I am given to understand that his name was Yazoo, though I have no information on what his motivations may have been. I would be grateful to anyone who might be able to fill the gaps for me.

In the event that… my patrol partner doesn’t return, I do not wish to be reassigned. If it comes to that, I would like to undergo the assessment to fight on my own.
And unless you would like to remove me from my position while you conduct an inquiry regarding the incident with Yazoo, I would like to continue working with my schedule unchanged. I will of course answer any questions on the subject, but I’ll begin by saying that I followed him with the intent apprehend him for his crimes. He fired on me and I defended myself. I have no excuse for my actions, but that is the explanation.

As far as a summary of events go, I pursued him from the crime scene with the intent to arrest him and bring him to you to be dealt with. But he was armed. He shot me, wounding my thigh in the process, and I returned fire in self-defense.
I will gladly provide anything else you may require for your investigation.
