[Lucian's carefully flipping through the pages of an old book. The paper is yellowed and stiff, and the cover is suffering from bad water damage. It's still mostly covered in dust from the ruins.

[There's a quiet purr as Nero leans in to look.]
The cover must have taken the brunt of the damage. Shame the rest of them didn't make it.
Not like I would've been able to get more than a couple of them before that damn overseer got to them.
[Lucian shrugs. Suddenly he stops turning pages and just stares down at the book.]

((OOC: Because I feel obligated to mention this.
1. The books Lucian and Nero are talking about are from the San Miguel Cathedral from a game earlier in the series. The Cathedral's been destroyed for at least a couple hundred years at the time Lunar Knights takes place, so they were a bit of a trove for these two. The only book that was salvageable was a generic history of vampires.
2. You can bring up the fact that Nero talks, but except for a few extenuating circumstances he's not going to talk directly to other characters. At most he provides snarky commentary whenever Lucian says or does something Nero thinks is foolish.
3. The note inside the book is pointing out a vampire that was still alive in Lucian's time. Key word "was."))
