[No shame, perhaps, but that's not the issue. He doesn't trust help. He can manage just fine on his own--the only ones in Amestris who ever tried to help him in Amestris were his own people. And that had been without his knowledge or consent anyway...it was a bit difficult to resist if one was unconscious. He's not used to it...it makes him uncomfortable.]

I don't need your help. [The breathing issue is something he unfortunately can't control very well, but he decides to ignore it anyway. As for the wounds...the only one he's sustained here was the gash on his shoulder; the others are carryovers from Lab 5. Not that he's about to tell her any of that.]

I already told you I'm fine.
