One interesting thing that comes out of this place is... well, the people. That should probably be obvious, but it's always interesting to meet people you would never have met if you hadn't been here. Mostly because they don't exist on your own world.
Sometimes, thinking about the idea of going back can be a little daunting in that way - it means saying goodbye to dear friends and pleasant acquaintances. Sometimes that can be the most demotivating thing of all. It's much worse than facing bad things to come.
Ah, or maybe that's just me?
[You can't see it, of course, but he's smiling. Anyone who knows him could predict this. They can probably even picture it - that slightly ruffled, sheepish grin.]
[That makes the silence that follows a little... odd.]
Then again, sometimes the Door brings you people that you really could have gone without ever seeing again. That's a little annoying.
Still, I do believe in second chances, so I guess what you make of them is your own opportunity to use - or burden to bear, depending on your ultimate choice.
[A little pause. And then a coughing noise, almost as though he's clearing his throat.]
Using this clean slate to gallivant around with underage girls, for example, is definitely morally questionable behavior. Although, I guess it isn't as bad as it could be, hm?

The atmosphere has been so glum recently. We should think of some way to bring joy into this place. I don't reducing prices will help much, ha ha. But some kind of celebration might? I'm afraid I've never been good at planning that sort of thing, but in my experience being with friends in a pleasant atmosphere has always always helped to hold back the anger and the fear.
