Well, Friday is here, and I'm still sick. I've been mostly okay except for this wicked nasty cough. You might know the cough I'm talking about, the kind where you go into coughing fits that make you throw up unless you force yourself to stop, and either way you feel like a lung is coming up your throat. Not a good thing to have for an entire week.
I've been chugging Buckley's and Neo Citran and gobbling down Halls and Cepacols like candy, however that gives temporary relief at best. I called my doctor just now, and unfortunately she's completely booked for the day. Overbooked in fact. If there is a cancellation they'll call me, but I'm not keeping my fingers crossed.
This is pissing me off too, as aside from missing work that I really can't afford to miss (due to looming deadlines I'm already behind on...), I missed a show last night that I was really looking forward to. Last time The Jimmy Swift Band came I missed it because of my stupid friends who are either too cheap or just plain can't be bothered to do anything. This time though I was going to go and enjoy the show, whether they were coming or not. Instead after two beers and ninety minutes of being a sweaty, coughing mess I went home before the band even started. :(
Anyways, rant over. I need to go look at health insurance to cover my allergy vaccines.
