Laptop needed

This poor abused Toshiba Satellite is finally givin' up the ghost. Right now, the power cord (my second one) only connects in a certain position, the battery (my second one) barely holds a charge, the arrow keys don't work and the enter, backspace, and power button are slightly balky, due to a spill (wasn't me, either), I've had to replace the screen once and the inverter once...and tonight, apparently, the wire from the inverter to the mobo has developed some kind of short, such that the backlight only stays on if you have the screen tilted slightly towards you from 90 degrees, and no further back. (I'd really have to resolder the thing, I suspect, and I don't own a pencil solder.)

I will need to find something quite soon that fits the following specs:
  • something light to medium beefy in the proc department (currently it's 1.73 GHz single proc...A DUAL PROC IS FINE TOO)
  • at least 80GB of disk
  • preferably 0.5GB of RAM
  • 4 USB ports
  • XP (I would rather avoid Vista if at all possible, and I can always partition and install Ubuntu)
The trick is, of course, I have no job and no real cash money, so it would have to be a long-term loaner until I can get going with the cash, or a line on sumpin' really, really, really teh cheap with the above modest bells and whistles. (Alternatively, I borrow a monitor from someone and this becomes a small desktop for a while until I can, etc.)
