Setting sail for a distant land

So I'm finally (no, really) going to get started on my worldbuilding/RPG world idea. For those not keeping score at home, the ancient history of this idea starts here and continues here. By the time I got here I had some rules, then a list of names, which I tried to narrow down to three but everyone panned them.

After that, we started talking about some different names, which people seemed to not object to too terribly. Out of these, I'm narrowing them down to four options:
  • From the post above, we have Laurentia (a proposed name for Canada) and Vaalbara (the name of a billion-year-or-so-old supercontinent)...
  • I've also thrown in Asmaida (or Mayda), from this article. The idea of naming the island after something used to fill in blank spaces on maps by bored or conspiratorial cartographers, particularly as late as the early 20th Century, is so fantastic and adorable I can barely stand it. efbq and I prefered the given spelling, but I'll guess if you are of a different mind, you'll let me know in the comments. (Would the residents of Mayda be called Maydans?)
  • And of course there's Port Colice. Quite the history behind that name; I reiterate some of that history with some plaintive questions here.
Though some of the above links are filtered out, I've decided to allow my entire flist to have a go at the vote, purely for the sake of giggles. After a great deal of deliberation, I've decided to use Approval Voting: you can vote for as many as you like, and the one with the highest percentage of people voting for it will win.
