A small bit of inductive reasoning
I have come to the conclusion that practically the entire field of business writing - authors like Harvey Mackay and pre-eminently Thomas "I'm Such a Great Writer I Don't Even Have to Use English" Friedman, and books with names like The Power Principle and Getting to Yes and How to Screw Everyone Like Only a Soulless Capitalist Can While Wearing Your Tie Very Straight (actually, I did make up that last one) - is utter and complete crap. I mean real, unadulterated, hand-me-a-shovel crap; much more than Sturgeon's Law might predict. It is of no use whatsofuckingever, and people who write it and consume it should all be pushed off a pier.
