Speaking of which, what does one usually write when putting in a two weeks notice?
I felt kinda out of place while doing so. I mean, the only other job I've had was at McDonalds, and I just quit on the spot over there. I didn't know what I was doing; I was 17 and didn't believe that it would hinder my hireability (is that even a word).
It started out simple enough.
"To the greatest managers in the world:"
Seriously, my managers are cool as hell.
"I will be leaving Lindt Chocolate two full weeks from today's date," yadda yadda I'm leaving on the 6th.
Then I got stuck.
Do I write anything else? Do I say my goodbyes and how wonderful each person was to work with?
Naa..
It's not like I'm going to Australia or anything; Jenny's still keeping her job there, so more likely than not, I'll be stopping by at least once in a while. I ended up making it short and sweet:
"It has been a pleasure working with everyone here. Unfortunately, I will have to leave due to other job opportunities."
That sounds about right, doesn't it?
i am fine
