So, I know that there are hardcore fans of the Warhammer 40K minis game, and I know many of those people will swear that it's the greatest minis game for it's vast universe and it's massive support. I've never enjoyed it myself, as it's just not my kind of setting and I just could never get behind the massive amount of rules dictating every aspect

The minis games are both directly controlled by Games Workshop, who also just announced the discontinuation of Bitz ordering on a per-part basis. Now you must buy in bulk lots and "kits". This, of course, is a major difficulty for those that want those single parts for conversions and special projects.

How long do you think this is going to last, in all honesty? I think it's only a matter of time before someone picks up Warhammer again. They're pretty much ending it at the height of its popularity.

I'll admit that I find the Warhammer universe pretty interesting, but could never produce the budget for my own army, nor could I probably find the time to give the miniatures the care they deserve. I do intend to look into the 40k rpg sometime; not really interested in the Fantasy 'verse. Sounds too much like DnD.

I am definitely enjoying the hysterics about this over on RPG.net. I think the only thing tht could have caused more of an upraor is if a White Wolf staffer came out and said "Exalted is for retards!!!11!!11One"
