You know, maybe next year for Halloween I should dress up as Agatha Heterodyne. She's crazy, sure (well, she is a Mad Scientist), but she's also intelligent and decent, and the steampunk style just looks like fun. And she wears glasses. The Beetleburg outfit would probably be easiest, mainly because it doesn't involve a corset. There would have to be a wig. And no one would get it but me. But it'd be fun.
(Nobody I know in real life reads webcomics. Furthermore, I would hesitate to recommend it to men because of the artist's obsession with large... tracts of land. And Amy's Borders doesn't have any print copies. Dang.)
I enjoy Girl Genius for its complexity. It would be a great way to get into conversations about government and authority and responsibility, not to mention the ethics of a world where reanimation and mutation are facts of life. And then there's the fact that the Jägers are just awesome.
