So the (woefully simplistic) study of Esther that the Bible Study is doing had some line in it about a situation not being quite so desperate to God. To which I thought, God doesn't have desperate situations, just extremely good timing.
It's the skilled artist who can make the details fine, who can cut within a hairsbreadth without cutting through. It's the athlete performer who can go closest to destruction and death without falling in. The audience gasps in fear, but there was never anything to be afraid of. The one on stage knew what he was doing.
Another day of gorgeous weather. I made pumpkin crisp for tomorrow, because it cannot be November without things made with pumpkin. And then I cleaned the front windows, which I am enjoying. No ugly smears anymore!
