(no subject)
Am feeling rather better today. Getting up was a bit of an ordeal, but I eventually made it to church. My nose (and ears - don't you hate it when your ears are stuffed up?) cleared up after lunch, and I went off to the choir concert, wondering if I could make it through the whole thing and whether I would spend it clinging to the railing behind me for dear life. But it turned out okay, and even if my lung capacity wasn't up to snuff, and it all sounded wonderful in the end.
rabblebabblelog was there like she promised. And I totally got her RL name wrong. ::facepalm:: But you know how it's always a little weird to arrange a meeting with someone you've only read online. It was great to meet her, and maybe ::looks hopefully in rabblebabble's direction:: at some point we can arrange something where we could have actual conversation. Though I suppose with the first time you meet someone you kinda wonder whether you could handle more than a few minutes, given that the medium's so different from what you're used to. I know I was worried when I called up amberdulen for the first time, and then we ended up talking for - what - an hour? More?
Anyway, it's always great to have someone in the audience cheering you on.
Then at home I sat on the porch and read before doing the dishes and getting online. The weather is ridiculously nice at the moment. Do you know, I always forget how quickly the world can green up in the spring, and then every year it surprises me all over again. It smells like spring out there. In a couple more weeks we'll have the scent of cut grass, too. I love it.
