Okay, just saw the Narnia trailer. May I just say,
SWEET!
It looks like they're really going for epicness. Narnia is beautiful! I liked the bit of Lucy pulling off the wardrobe's covering, the almost majestic way the cloth rippled off. I loved the vista as the children walk along that natural arch. I loved the glimpse of Cair Paravel. The White Witch looked very interesting--and sinister--indeed. Sinister! The old BBC version's witch was just silly. Queen Jadis was a terrifying person, and I hope that's conveyed well this time. And I loved the music. Loved.
I cannot wait.
Also saw the GoF trailer. Very well done, and suspenseful.
Am totally weirded out that all my favourite books have been made into movies. LotR, HP, H2G2, and now Narnia. How in the world did that happen, anyway?
(must smite MovieFone article writer. LotR and Narnia are not to be compared, darn it! The authors were friends, not rivals, and their books are wonderful for very different reasons. So there.)
