Summary: Speed tries to comfort Eric.

Speed could always tell when he was being watched, it was a legitimate safety concern after all, but he could especially tell when he was being watched by one Horatio Caine, liar extraordinaire. He had gotten used to it, the pain filled stares, the bloodshot eyes, his ex-lovers condition failing to the point where once upon a time he would have dragged him home and ... made him feel better, but that was then and this was now. Speed would not tolerate being lied too, or cheated on, or used and frankly, he was over Horatio Caine. His young lover on the other hand ... he still had hope and normally that was something that the cynical CSI loved about the young man, but lately it was simply hurting him, pulling him back to the man who would simply hurt him again. So when Speed caught his young lover glanceing up with hope when they walked by Horatio's office, he knew he had to do something. So he reached around, guiding the young man away. If there was one thing that Tim knew it was that he protected those he loved. Horatio had squandered that, but that wouldn't stop him from protecting the lover that he had left.
