Hey folks,
It's been ages since I posted on this thing but I wanted to forward this to all on my list and urge you guys to forward this to any folks on your list.
According to Dear Author, Gawker just posted a notice of a bunch of layoffs here at LJ and the acquisition of the company by a Russian company. I'm not sure what's going to happen in the near future but everyone is suggesting backing your entries right now just in case.
If you're looking for some archiving tools, a former employee gives some suggestions as well some other posters in the comments of her page.
A press release was also apparently issued as well.
