Long before I'd ever heard of a
Googlewhack, I periodically entertained myself by entering semi-random terms into search engines. We've all done that, right? So, last night when I was trying to cheer myself up, I googled:
baltar crevice menthol
which yielded only one result, which seems pretty reasonable. (This is not a legitimate
Googlewhack since my search string contains more than two words. I honestly can't tell if
Googlewhack's rules disqualify "Baltar" because that name does appear at
answers dot com. In any case, I don't claim "Baltar crevice menthol" as a
Googlewhack.)
What perplexes me is that there are so many hits for searches such as:
wuthering behaviour snorkel
which got "about 1,530" Google results.
Google also told me that, to my dismay,
cattywumpus mucilage
got no hits. That might be a perfect
Googlewhack if it existed. But since it doesn't exist, it's not.
This search, with the quotation marks exactly as shown,
"lindsay lohan" auxiliary narthex emblazoned
got nothing, but I'm pleased to announce that
"lindsay lohan" opcode narthex
--again, with quotation marks around Lindsay Lohan--received one and only one hit. Once again, it goes against
Googlewhack rules, but I think it's close enough for me.
That cheered me up a little.
