The fight that made it possible for
Apollo to ask Ema to the prom.
Ema: *Ema bustles about her bedroom, a few hours before school begins. She's still got plenty of time before she needs to get herself down to the bus stop. With a sigh she grabs a flyer for her school prom and her cell phone off of her computer desk, plopping down onto her bed as she dials up Klavier’s number.*
Klavier: *Klavier is already at work when his cell rings. He grabs his phone off his desk, grabbing a file as well as he stands up. He flips his cell open, leaving his office and heading down the hall toward Edgeworth's* Gavin here.
Ema: Hey Klav! It's me. *Ema sounds far more cheerful than she normally does so early in the morning.*
Klavier: Hey there, Mausi. *Klavier grins, hearing the perkiness in her voice* You sound happy this morning.
Ema: *She laughs, and kicks her feet back and fourth.* Aah, it's because I'm not rushing to get out the door in time this morning. Are you at work already?
Klavier: Ja, I came in a bit earlier. Good thing too... *he knocks on the door to Edgeworth's office, getting no response* One of the secretaries gave me a file for one of Herr Edgeworth's cases...
Ema: Ooh... *She holds the phone against her ear with her shoulder, and picks up the flyer with her now freed hands.* Hey, um, Klavier. I guess that means you're kind of busy now, but there's been something I've been meaning to ask you.
Klavier: I am not busy, just breaking into Herr Edgeworth's office. What did you need? *he turns the doorknob and finds the door open, so he shrugs and goes inside*
Ema: You're... what? *She frowns, but shakes it off quickly enough.* Well... ah, you know, it's about... the prom. M-My school is doing that soon and... well, I've never been to one, and how lame would it be if I didn't go to it my senior year, r-right?
Klavier: Ja, you should probably go to it. Sounds fun. Who is taking you? *he keeps the door open and walks to Edgeworth's desk, tossing down the file and looking around for a post-it note he can leave on it*
Ema: ... Well, I was hoping you would, you dork.
Klavier: Alright, I will take you then. I can give Daryan money to get tickets for me tomorrow. Sound good, ja?
Ema: *She grins, and her enthusiasm can be heard clearly over the phone.* Yeah! Sounds great. Ah... guess I should go dress shopping and stuff pretty soon too then. Do you.. wanna go with me sometime?
Klavier: Ja, sure, I will gladly-- *he stops as he clears some papers away near Edgeworth's laptop. He snorts in an attempt to stifle a laugh* Oh mein Gott. Herr Edgeworth has a pink Gameboy. *Klavier stares at the pink DS that was once hidden*
Ema: ... What? No he doesn't! I don't think he even plays video games---... Wait a second, did you really break into his office?
Klavier: Ja, I broke into the poof's office! Pink Nintendo DS, right here in front of me! *Klavier carefully picks it up, popping the game out of it* And there is some Japanese game in here, I cannot read it... *he pops it back in and flicks the DS open, turning it on. The game loads up, the Steel Samurai theme playing loudly through the tiny speakers* ... Hahahaha. Oh Gott. Herr Edgeworth is not only a poof, he is a nerd.
Ema: H-Hey! Mr. Edgeworth isn't a poof! And he is so not a nerd either. He was probably just... I don't know! But stop messing around with his stuff already!
Klavier: No, this is hilarious. I am going to delete his game and see what he does!
Ema: Don't! *She bolts up straight, looking horrified at the thought.* Don't be such a jerk! Just put it back and leave him alone. I swear, you're so immature!
Klavier: You are right, Fräulein... *he turns the DS off* I should just steal the whole game and hold it ransom. I bet that would be even more fun!
Ema: God, what is your problem? Why do you have to act like this?
Klavier: Act like what? I am just having fun, Fräulein. You are so uptight.
Ema: I am not uptight. You not only broke into Mr. Edgeworth's office-- you've also insulted him, AND tried to steal from him! How can you think there's nothing wrong with that?
Klavier: It is just a little fun, Fräulein! No harm done! He probably will not even notice I did anything! You are uptight. *Klavier starts looking around again for a post-it, finding a small yellow one and leaving a note for Edgeworth on it* See? I am leaving him a note; "Dear Herr Edgeworth, I have your video game. Give me candy and it does not get hurt." *actually is just writing a note explaining the secretary's mistake and sticks it to the file he brought in*
Ema: You're acting worse than a little kid Klavier--... Ugh, you know what? Whatever. I need to go now. I don't want to listen to this.
Klavier: I am not really doing that, Ema. See? You are too uptight, cannot even take a simple joke!
Ema: Stop calling me that. *She growls into the phone.* That wasn't a joke, either. It wasn't funny at all.
Klavier: I found it funny. Can we go shopping for a new sense of humor? You appear to need one, Fräulein...
Ema: *Ema holds the phone away from her ear as he speaks, fixing the cell phone with a glare.* You know what? Forget about everything that I asked you before. I don't want to go out with you again anytime soon.
*Before he can respond, the girl flips her phone shut and then proceeds to silence the ringer and shove it into her book bag.* God, I can't-- UGH. *She catches a glimpse of her alarm clock on the desk, and shouts in frustration before scrambling up.* Ghhn! T-The bus!
Klavier: *Klavier stares at his phone and shrugs, pocketing his phone and leaves Edgeworth's office. He figures Ema will calm down eventually, he'll call her tomorrow. For now, he's got work to do.*
