[[OOC: This takes place right after
Wright's chat with Kristoph. ♥]]
:O' '>:T He is far too interested in hanging around with his BOYfriend, that's all.'))'> Wright: *Immediately after the phone call with Kristoph, Phoenix scrolls down to Ema's number and hits dial. As the phone rings, he goes over to the front door, where Trucy is pulling on her boots.*
Ema: *Ema jolts a little at the sudden Steel Samurai theme song ringing out from her room. She gets up slowly, not quite taking her eyes from the television screen yet.* Aah, Lana! Tell me if I miss anything new, I'll be right back. *She calls over her shoulder to the woman. She's quick to run back to her room, snatching up her phone with an irritated scowl.* Hello?
Wright: Hey, Ema? It's Phoenix. *He sounds quite cheerful, and if there is any note of irritation in Ema's greeting, he doesn't seem to have caught it.* Are you busy right now?
Ema: Oh! Mr. Wright! *Her tune changes instantly.* No, I'm not busy right now. Just watching the news with Lana. This is all pretty crazy, huh?
Wright: Yeah, it really is. I didn't even know a murder had gone on there until I got back to the apartment. I'm heading over to check out the crime scene right now, though-- *He pauses a moment as he slips into his sandals.* Do you want to come? I figure it'd be a good idea to have a scientific mind around, to help figure out what started that fire.
Ema: *A bright, excited grin takes over the girl instantly.* Yes, of course! *She holds the phone between her ear and shoulder, yanking her lab coat off the back of her computer chair.* You know it! I'll be down there as soon as I can~
Wright: Great! *Thinks for a moment as he opens up the door, waiting for Trucy to go through before he does.* Hmm... You won't need any special equipment, will you? I'm not exactly sure what sort of forensics this is going to involve...
Ema: *Ema manages to slip on her coat half way, frowning only slightly as she glances around her room at his question.* Well... I'm... not exactly sure but... *She switches her phone to her other hand.* We'll... just see what we can see! I'll just throw in everything that'll fit in my bag!
Ema: I've ordered in some pretty cool new kits from the internet, oh, and I don't think we'll have anything to dust for prints on but you never know, so I’ll bring my aluminum powder too-- *She rambles on excitedly, snatching up her glasses next.*
Wright: *Locks the door of the apartment and takes Trucy's hand, chuckling at Ema's response.* Well, Tru and I will be at the south entrance of the park, or else inside if there aren't too many police officers stationed. Do you think you can sneak your way over to the tent?
Ema: You're gonna bring your daughter? *She blinks.* Alright, cool. I don't think it'll be a problem for me to sneak in, but I'll check for you both at the entrance first.
Wright: Great. *A bit more hushed.* And yeah, we got split up earlier today, and I'm not going to let that happen again. *He balances the phone on his shoulder so he can tap Trucy lightly on the nose while still holding onto her hands.*
Wright: I'll see you there then, Ema.
Ema: Alright! I'll see you soon! *She's grinning once more as she hangs up, slipping her phone into the pocket of her pants.* Lana! Lana, I need a ride! You'll never guess who that just was~
Wright: *Hangs up and slips the phone back into his pocket, cheerfully humming some tune off-handedly as he and Trucy head over to People Park.*
