I took your advice Mr. Armando, and played a small trick on Lana yesterday.
Earlier in the day I told her I wasn't going to make it home in time for dinner (late study group), and then turned right around and surprised her with dinner! She seemed to really like it, even if... it all more or less came from a box.
I still think April Fools is pointless and childish, but I'm glad you gave me that suggestion, sir. I think it made her really happy.
