It's been a while so I'll do a quick run down.
A.J. received his orange belt at karate this past week and he is super excited. He couldn't wait until we got home so that we could hang his old belt up. I love seeing him excited.
A.J. started minor league baseball this year and was drafted by the Cubs. He was upset because their wasn't a Red Socks team but he was okay after he gave it thought and realized that the Cubs was uncle Mike's favorite team. He had his first practice and meet his coach, whom I'm on the fence about. One of the girls that I work with is the vice-president for the baseball program and I told her to make sure that someone I knew got A.J. I had even talked to a friend of mine who is a coach and he was going to get A.J. Neeless to say, it didn't happen. A.J. was first pick in the second round of draft so a newbie coach got him. He seems okay and John convinced me to give him a chance so we'll see. I guess it's good that A.J. went so fast in the draft. He really is a good baseball player. This should be an interesting season. On the down side we have to get a new glove, new clets, and other stuff. Oh well, at least he enjoys it.
Work is chugging along very slowly. It was aweful being at work this week knowing that we were "suppose" to be on spring break. The wonderful weather of Kentucky prevented that from happening. Testing is around the corner and I have to begin my yearly science cramming. I hate cramming but if it works I'll keep doing it and up to this point it has worked.
The weather here has gotten beautiful. It's 70 outside and spring is in the air. Everyone is mowing and working outside today and it's great. I cleaned out the flower beds and watching A.J. and the neighbor's play outside. I love this weather. I wish it would stay this way year round. That would be wonderful.
John and I celebrated our 9th anniversary Thursday.....it seems like forever ago. Our anniversary is the one thing that we both usually forget. I actually thought of it when I got to work and wrote the date on the board. Great, now I think of it. Half way through the day I see two coworkers lurking at my door. I knew they were up to something and I kept trying to ignore them and teach but they just kept laughing and going on. They finally walked in my door with 9 beautiful red roses. They informed me that they would deliever to me but they wouldn't sing to me. I could not believe it. I surprised...... I rarely admit it but I have a wonderful husband, whom I want to choke at times, and I love him dearly. I thank God for him everyday.
I'll stop there for now....I'm sure I think of something else once I post.
