teithiwr pointed me towards this meme, where you draw yourself as a teen and possibly a current version to compare, and I couldn't resist. Oh, fifteen-year-old self. I do not miss you.
In 1999 Schweedie was fifteen, looking like twelve, and in the 9th grade. She was short, chubby, quiet, tagged along with people who didn't really want her around and wasn't very happy, hence the frowny face.

In 2008, Schweedie is twenty-three and doesn't look a day younger than seventeen! She is still as short, slightly less chubby and much less quiet, has gained confidence from moving abroad to London for a year and standing on her own two feet, has fully embraced being a linguistics geek and made friends of that same sort, and is much, much happier. Yay!
