Today I arrived for my last day at the Dojo. I got there a bit early and the lights were off and the door was locked. I took the key off of my neck and with a turn of the wrist I walked in the building. I set my bag on the shoe rack like i always do and put my keys inside. I took off my shoes and put them on my usualy spot on the rack. I walked around the wall in the dark and flicked on the 4 switches that turn on all the lights to the floor and gives power to the dressing rooms. I rotated the knobs for the fans so they would circulate the most air. I headed back to the dressing rooms and found the 1 switch that turns on the power for both rooms cause the wiring is wierd. You have to flick it a certain way or only one of the rooms will turn on or neither of them will work. I did the special flick pattern and both rooms lit up like clockwork. I got changed and came back out and as i sat down jade came in the door w/ her mcflurry. I gave her a couple van halen cd's that she had been wanting. Gen and drew came in then we were talking about everything for a bit and jade shared her mcflurry w/ me. gen wanted some too and almost sat on my lap again lol. as I was coming out they all said how they were going to miss me and gave me a hug. haha i felt so loved it was great. ben's sister and one of the other kids who hadn't been there last class tested today and should be moving up to the beginner class on monday. I sent those 2 with gen and jade and i took the other 5 w/ kevin and drew. 2 of those 5 aren't going to make it at all so i had kevin and drew give them special attention while i worked with the ppl who actually have a chance of moving up to the next class. Only like half the beginner class showed up today for some unknown reason. Usually the class is huge and today we only had 1 line. we did kicks moving, kata and a few relay races for most of the day. In the advanced class they did advanced rolling, turtle wrestling, and ofc sparring for my last day there. i had them free spar for a bit then we circle sparred. in the extra help class I got a few photo ops with angelina jolie aka meradith lol. I helped tom with the bo kata, john kelly gave me a special edition of the gathering flyer, and then gave jade and meradith some shiatsu treatment and got one in return. It was a fitting last class and I'm going to miss that place since its like my 2nd home. thats about it for now.
