Someone told me today that beer in Norway cost 10 GBP a pint (not that I was planning on drinking anyway since my travel-partner parents are pretty much tea-tottalers (sp) and I'm not far behind). Then I see this!
Kitchen tap in Norway spews beer, not water

A bar worker in western Norway managed to turn water into beer for a lucky woman living in an apartment above the pub.
Haldis Gundersen turned on her kitchen tap on the weekend expecting water to gush out so that she could wash the dishes after dinner. Instead, she got beer.
A worker in the Big Tower Bar two floors below had accidentally connected a hose from a new barrel of beer to the water pipe leading to Gunderson's apartment in Kristiansund.
"We thought we were in heaven," the 50-year-old woman told Reuters.
The beer tasted strange and didn't have the fizziness that specialized bar spigots would create, she added. Given the choice, she would have opted for her favourite coffee liqueur.
"If it happens again, I'm going to order Baileys," Gunderson said.
The mood wasn't so happy in the bar where the problem originated. Expecting beer from the usual tap, staff were startled to see water pouring out instead.
Ewen is in Tee-side. I wonder what it's like. I wonder if he is at the pub right now (I hope so, well, I hope he is having fun whatever he is doing!)
Someone from bookcrossing sent me a big fat book by Yukio Mishima today, what a treat! More for Ewen than for me of course, he really seemed to like The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea (it made me feel physically ill. Good book though!)
