Generic 1K! Post
Well I had originally thought that Azula and Jun the Bounty Hunter would get along well, and now that Azula isn’t picking apart the woman’s insecurities they are! XD
I was watching the episode where Jun makes her first appearance and I had the random thought of “Where is this woman from?” And it occurred to me that she very strongly resembles what we see in the Fire Nation. That led to a scene in the tavern where Azula, in one paragraph, tears apart Jun’s exterior. It. Was. Awesome!
Really all the characters in my AU come more alive the more I write them. Mostly Azula and Zuko so far, with Iroh close behind. But considering that today I wrote the first official Azula/Sokka interaction (and it was written in a way that implies past scenes that I’ll be adding in on the rewrite) I’m looking forward to seeing what the characters have me write next. XD
I decided to go with using the necklace to track down the Gaang. In no small part because it allows Azula to tease Zuko about Katara being his ‘girlfriend’, but mostly because I had written myself into a corner and had to backtrack to make things work.
All that’s left now is the Seige of the North and the rough draft of Book One of “A Dragon Unborn” will be complete! YAY!
…Sorry, got away from myself there. I’m gonna have the rough draft done by Friday though, I’ll call it a birthday present to myself. Again, YAY!
