I'm not the one that's repressed

I, like everyone else in fandom, saw Sherlock Holmes today. I have THOUGHTS. The major one is the same s everyone else's: old timey gays are so wonderfully in love. The whole fight about repression was unnecessary and amazing. And the gypsies just stared at them like -_-, as would I.

Also, I enjoyed that the movie was all about the commitment between pairs of men. Irene was dispensed of and Mary was taken care of early, then it was just Sherlock and Watson, Colonel Moran and Professor Moriarty (come on, Moran was seriously freaked when he thought Moriarty was dead), Mycroft and Carruthers. (I bet Mary and Mycroft are besties now. She was so smart to figure out all of the coded stuff and now he's her gay bff.) And Simza was badass, but not even for a moment was she a love interest.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I really like the way Ritchie shoots these movies. How tons of stuff happens behind the scenes and then he can cover all of that in thirty seconds.

Regarding the ending: I'm going to need all of the post-fic where they cancel their honeymoon/take Sherlock on their honeymoon/all bang Sherlock. Yay!
