I haven't been posting because I haven't been doing anything interesting, but I have been watching tv! So let's talk about that. Here's what I'm watching (please let me know if you are also watching these things, so I don't feel so alone):
Archer
How come I didn't know about Archer? I saw it on my mom's twitter once and so TiVoed it and now I'm mainlining the second season. I think I like that it's just so fucking dirty, along with being funny and well-written. You should watch, and if you do watch, you should make sure you listen to
the creator/voice of Ray, Adam Scott, on Aisha Tyler's podcast. I aspire to be Aisha when I grow up (sploosh), but I think I'm gonna end up as Pam.
If Ben Fraser was a real dude and growing up in Ontario instead of the Territories, he would be Damon Bennett, site supervisor on Holmes Inspection. If you've never watched Holmes on Homes, Mike Holmes is this burly Canuck contractor who gets really upset when people don't take their work seriously, don't believe in skill and craftsmanship and do a bad job. On this new show, he goes into a house someone just bought, finds all the shit the home inspector missed, and then Damon comes in and fixes it. Damon is strapping and wonderful and calls Mike's 19 year old daughter Sherry "Sher-bear" before setting her to work repairing an entire deck by herself. (Which she can do because Holmeses are fucking badass.) Plus, when life is hard, Damon and Mike promising to "make it right" is somehow really soothing.
Do anything for Dethklok. (Also, Nathan Explosion is so sensitive and I want to cuddle him!)
