Comfort food
So what do you suppose it means when comfort food to us means Sag Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala, Basmati Rice and Naan?
J called Beatlegirl on her way home from school today and asked what she wanted for dinner. Since J has been getting all the attention, he thought she might like to choose dinner. So she chose Indian food, which one can now procure from the grocery store freezer (at least at the Cub in Midway). Indian food, almost as good as I make (and way faster with fewer dirty pans).
I'm glad we could all gather around the table tonight. I'm also glad that I made the effort to have family dinners even when J was in the hospital. Last night I came home and made garlic pasta with shrimp. scallops and asparagus, and a salad. Cost less than fast food, was just as quick, and we had left overs for lunch, and still a little for tomorrow (for the person who doesn't want Sag Paneer, Moong Dal and rice).
I think the dogs are glad that we're all home. They're all laying on the couches and just look content.
