Update.
Still alive. Penguicon was a blast. I saw a good number of people that I do not have much regular contact with, however briefly. I had a good enough time that I think that next year I will see if I can take the whole weekend off. Of course that all depends on whether or not any more people I like decide to get married.
My work place continues to be stupid. In the latest flash of brilliance, they decided to put a lock on the walking cooler/freezer. In theory this is to cut down on theft. In practice, its insane. People need access to this space periodically throughout the day and adding a step that forces you to get a manager to let someone get items vital to the continued operation of the store is just a waste of time. Also, its not going to help against the supposed theft since the managers are not going to do things in such a way as to allow them to track what is being taken from the locked area, because they are busy actually running the store. At least I have the owners trained to the point that they were emphatic that I be given a key.
The bipolar weather fairy really needs her meds. Its back to feeling like Fall here again. I need spring-like weather to get work outside done. Both regular maintenance and preparation for SWR(v).
