So its been a while since I actually updated. A number of things have happened in my life in the last several months that are worth noting.
I've started my EMT class and its been a lot of fun so far. I haven't gotten to do the ER rotations or the ride-alongs yet but I am looking for to them. The class can be tedious at times, but it has lots of useful information and is one of the most intellectually stimulating things I've done in a while. I have a test on Monday, that I need to study for. Need more study time. What idiot wnet and gave the day a measly 24 hours?
I'm still working at McDonald's. It kinda sucks right now. The new Angus Burger sucks, and it is drivng me crazy. And the major marketing push hasn't even started yet. I really need a new job. First, trainning, then job hunting. Soon.
Polaris is up and running. Our Summer Weapons Retreat kicked some serious ass. I need to get back into practice. Once again, lack of time. Thinking about trying to start gathering info for our blunt weapons ciriculum. Okay, so my initial idea was to develop an anti-zombie crowbar training program, but I suppose that it has other applications.
Not much going on in the gaming world. Most new computer games are officially too much for my computer. Just means that I have to go looking on the pathes less traveled. If people are interested there is a cool strategy game called "UFOAI" that is free online. Other than that I have been sucked back into an old game called "Star Trek: Birth of the Federation".
Other media that I have seen in summary:
"Transformers 2"- Kicked ass though more plot would be nice.
"Up"- Possibly the most tear jerking, sweet, wonderful adventure of the year. I cried 3 times over the course of the movie, and I'm obviously not ashamed to admit it.
"WallE"- Very cute.
"Bolt"- I love Rhino the Hamster.
"Warehouse 13"- A great new series on Scifi, and you can catch the episodes as they come out on Hulu.
"Yes Man"- Kicks ass. Very fun.
"Igor"- Twisted and funny.
"Exosquad"- An old cartoon from my childhood. All on Hulu. I'm amazed at just how mature it was for when I was watching it.
"Star Trek"- Was totally awsome.
Looking forward to "GI Joe" even though I expect it to be awful.
My birthday was awsome. Thankyou to everyone who was able to go to the movies with me. It was a great night.
The only other excitement was that I was able to see my best friends Mark and Chris on Wednesday. We had a great time. I hadn't seen Mark in almost 2 years. I can't really describe just how good it was to hang out with them again.
That's all I can think of. Off to the land of studying for me.
Be well all,
-Auck
