Cinnamon Stars
Ingredients
whites of 3 eggs
1 pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
200 g icing sugar
300 g ground almonds
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

1. Add the salt to the egg whites and beat them stiff. Slowly add the lemon juice and the icing sugar and keep on beating until the mass is firm and gleaming.

In clockwise direction these are gingerbread moose, nougat rolls, ginger sluts, piped cookies, cinnamon stars, cornflake macaroons and in the middle marzipan cookies.

When I drove to work this morning, the radio station was playing "Last Christmas" by Wham. I got used to Xmas treats in the supermarkets this early and I ignore them, but Christmas songs already? Sheesh...

Today, we put away the Xmas decorations. As always, it was like a big puzzle, trying to fit all the big and little boxes and other things into the large Xmas-deco-box. It's a huge box, a computer came in it years ago. Tomorrow morning, Hubby and I'll leave home and not return before next year. We'll visit Hubby's parents first; then my family on Boxing Day, and the next day, we'll go on vacation in the Thuringian forest for a week. Have already packed a lot of stuff.
