2 Weeks until I leave
2 Weeks until I leave for New England. I will be going to a proctor academy situated in the middle of 2000 acres of woods. Seems pretty rustic. In fact, I will have to bring an adapter for my laptop so that I can plug it in! Also, no airconditioner, though it should feel quite nice up there at this time of the year. I have a few final experiments to run before going, and importantly I must make my poster by the end of the month, and update my abstract information on the GRC site, as some of my data has changed. I will also be bringing my resume, my CV (or rather, what little CV i have by now), as well as various other supplemental documents in the hope of talking to some employers that work in industry, or alternatively, see what kind of opportunities are available in acadamia. I am keeping my options open at the moment. I am very curious as to whether certain employers might actually provide for continued study. I have heard of such situations occuring, but have never actually met anyone that had procured such an arrangement.
As for tonight, I think I need to relax for a bit, because I have been working a bit overtime lately. I've recently been playing around with Dwarf Fortress and find it pretty engrossing, despite its ASCII tileset.
