Some things about things

my room is literally 9'x12', with two bunks... I hope he doesn't smell. and that i don't suffocate. // the view from the common area is amazing! I can see Central Park along 65th street. // read "the perks of being a wallflower" on my first flight (to dallas). amazing book - i definitely suggest that you read it, too. (not that long, if I could get through it in about 3.5 hours.) // humid in new york, and not really sunny, so it feels sweaty when you walk outside. // i'll write more, but right now i'm pirating Wi-Fi from Lincoln Center Plaza... so i don't want my identity stolen. or be stabbed. EEK. // my floor meeting (all four suites' freshmen met together) consisted of throwing a monkey named... something starting with M around the room and saying people's names. exciting... // it hit me last night. we were driving home from elliot bay bookstore (awesome! go if you haven't left yet), and finally it popped into my head that "i'm going to college tomorrow" (reminding me of another similarly epiphanous (is this a word?!) phrase from the Royal Tenenbaums: "i'm going to kill myself tomorrow" whereupon he tries to kill himself right there and then. and it hit me (yes, i know i already said that) - i'm already in college, i'm sitting here not really "aware" of my situation, but at least knowledgable of the fact that i'm in college and that the next four years of my life are going to be spent for a large portion in a huge huge city.

[anyway, more philosophical update pending. I just have to write it all down.]
