Sunshine all day and all night!
God has faithfully continued to 'grow me' in many circumstances of my personal life. Funny how he does that : ) About a year ago a family in my church felt the call to plant a church in Anchorage. I felt the need to pray about whether that was where God wanted me too--imagine me in Alaska! After praying I didn't feel that was God's direction for me (there's no shortage of teachers in Anchorage). Just a few weeks ago, I had the intense feeling I need to get involved with worship again. In a conversation with my mom she said she wondered when I would have time. Though I agreed, there was no denying the urgency I felt.
Our church announced a weeklong trip to work with the family that moved to Anchorage. I began praying as to whether I should go on the Mission trip. I realized it conflicted with Creationfest but I decided that more than anything I desired to go to Alaska (funny!). Furthermore my last opportunity to help with worship was my Mission Trip to Mississippi. I see this trip as the worship opportunity God was trying to tell me about. After reflecting on these events I feel confident in my decision to go.
We will leave early July 23rd and return very late to Seattle July 29th 2007.
