4.1 Sam Grounded
In the great break, Sam went to the toilets. When she was done, she tried to open the door, but she couldn't. Someone must have locked it from the outside, using a portable lock. Thus Sam couldn't pick it easily with a curve wire. It would take her several minutes. Outside, she heard someone whistling innocently. She couldn't know who it was, though.
If Sam had known that it was Valerie, she would have exploded into smithereens.
But she had no clue. She just grabbed the wires from her backpack and started picking the fumbling. Finally, she made it out of the toilet. If only she knew who had locked her away!
Valerie had disappeared ever since.
Sam had no clue what happened while she had been locked into the toilet. She was so embarassed. Usually, she was very cautious. But now she had been locked into the toilets without even noticing. Sam wouldn't talk about thgis event to anyone for quite some time. She shrugged when classes started again.
4.2 Trish And Freddie
Trisha walked up to Freddie. "Hi Dorkward!"
Freddie could hardly refrain himself from punching Trisha's face. "What do you want, Sam?"
Trish chuckled sadistically. "Do you remember how many times carly has turned you down?"
Freddie sighed sadly. "Too many times ..."
Trish nodded. "I'm sure she's a lesbian. Do you see how she beams since Zoey moved into her apartment?"
Freddie startled. "What?"
"Don't tell this around, but she looks so ... she would never kiss any boy. Rather, she'd palm his face with tapenade!" Trish grinned. Her voice was not to distinguish from Sam's.
"But a lot of guys make her swoon, just not me." Freddie sighed.
"True, you won't ever make any girl swoon, but Carly ... she knows that all those guys are aloof. That's her way to fool us." Trish snickered.
"I see." Freddie sighed. So there wasn't any hope left even if he had been the last boy left in the world.
Trish breathed deeply. Freddie really believed that. Even more, she was about discrediting Zoey Brooks, the person she hated most.
Freddie was now even worried for Dustin who, obviously, had been educated by a lesbian elder sister!
Her cellular phone vibrated thrice. This had been the signal for Trish to withdraw. Valerie had observed Sam and alerted Trish because her sister had broken free from the toilet. Trish waved at Freddie. "Catch you later, dorkward!"
Freddie felt so depressed because of those terrible news. How could he have been obsessed with a Lesbian girl for several years? Now it was time for him to switch to a real girl. But how to find one, given that, as Sam had pointed out, no girl would ever consider kissing a dorkward?
4.3 Shock For Dustin
Freddie and Dustin were ready to extinguish the lights.
"Dustin, I have to tell you something ..." It wasn't easy for Freddie to talk about it, thus he couldn't help but stammering. "Your sister ... she is ... lesb..."
Dustin stood upright on his bed, "Whoaaaaaaaah!" He had never thought of that.
"Sam just figured that about Carly, and Zoey has been downright keen on sharing her dorm with Carly, so ..." He sighed deeply. "And for several years I ..." Freddie started to sob uncontrollably.
Dustin didn't know how to comfort Freddie. He had never thought that his uptight elder sister, Miss Pertfect, could be that weird. "We have to keep that absolutely secret!"
Freddie nodded.
But then Dustin came to think of something. "What has Zoey done in all those years at our old school? She had like four different dorm mates, one of them being Quinn. Has she corrupted all of them?" Dustin shuddered with disgust.
Freddie was equally abhorred by that possibility. "So, I guess, we have to talk to Quinn, at least."
Dustin nodded. "And that Megan girl, too. She had been forced to live with Carly for several weeks. Maybe that's what drove her out and made her wish to live at Quinn's, instead, where she is subjected to all sorts of weird scientific experiments?"
Freddie nodded. "This must be the reason, absolutely!"
Dustin and Freddie were happy to have arrived at the bottom of Zoey's and Carly's secret, or, at leat, they thought that this had been their secret.
Should they tell Freddie's mom, as well? The old lady wouldn't be pleased hearing about living next door to a lesbian couple. They'd constitute a very bad influence.
4.4 The Rumours Go On
When Quinn and Megan returned from school the very next day, Quinn held a letter in his hands. "Dustin wrote me that secret message..." Quinn started reading. "What? Zoey and Carly are ..."
Megan read it as well and shrieked in agony.
Nevel had snuck in through the secret door. "That makes a lot of sense! She had turned down my kiss for that reason!"
Megan and Quinn agreeed.
"Did Carly ever bother you in such a manner?" Nevel asked Megan. "She will rue the day thrice if she has done so!"
Megan shook her head. "Maybe I just look too much like her. She was so enthusiastic when she offered a blonde to live with her ..."
Quinn nodded solemnly. "That makes a lot of sense."
"Did that Zoey B... ever come to you in such a manner?" Nevel asked Quinn. Needless to say his wrath would be horrible if she did.
Quinn shook her head again. "Alas, I haven't been her only roomie. There was Lola Martinez, her roomie of three years." Quinn pondered a bit. "Hey, when I was assigned to move in with them, they hesitated consenting
1. There must have been a reason for that!"
"Oh yeah!" Nevel reasoned that Zoey and Lola had tried to keep something secret from them: Their same-gender relationship would have been such a secret.
Megan and Quinn chimed in.
"I remember something very important ..." Quinn added. "Once I asked them about a hug between my former boyfriend and another girl. They showed me several types of hugs.
2" She breathed deeply. "Admitted, Lola is an actree, but Zoey isn't. And neither of them knew that I would ask them that question in that moment. How did they get to hug spontaneously in various manners? They must have had some practice before that, and Zoey isn't an actree, thus her hug must have been for real!"
Megan and Nevel agreed.
Quinn hang her had in shame. "Why, oh why, did I fail to see that while I lived with them in one room? That's so embarassing!"
Nevel comforted his half-sister. "Sorry. Fortunately she's gone now. It will all be fine!"
Quinn sighed in relief. Then she pondered about the other girls that had to sheir their dorm with Zoey. Each thought of them made Quinn shudder with despair.
Megan was lucky that she had left Carly's loft in time. If Carly had been desperate enough, she wouldn't have cared about their similarity and ... "The boobs wouldn't have let me stay with such a girl." But a few moments later, Megan had to revise her conclusion. "Wait, Drake and Josh hug insanely much. Maybe ..." Megan almost threw up.
Nevel comforted Megan. "It's all fine. You're here with us."
Megan sighed in relief. She went through Quinn's scientific records. "Poison, explosives, bacteria ... how about poisonous, explosive bacteria?"
Quinn swooned.
4.5 Trish kisses Freddie
Sam had come to believe the rumours about Carly and Zoey pretty fast. Consequently, she stayed away from Carly. She was dismayed because she had been the best friend of a lesbian girl without knowing, and all that for five long years!
Sam's withdrawal from Carly also caused her to avoid Freddie, as she had never been able to bear his vicinity unless Carly was around.
Trish, in turn, approached Freddie more and more, especially during the big breaks. "Do you want to know what a real girl is?" Trish asked despaired Freddie.
Freddie nodded. He couldn't care anymore that Sam had tortured him for several years.
Trish pulled Freddie closer and kissed his lips.
"Er ... what?" Freddie hadn't seen that coming. He was downright confused.
The message about that event spread like wildfire. Sam would deny them, but that was futile. Freddie knew that Sam would never admit to having kissed him. He was glad about his first real kiss, and he enjoyed boasting with it.
Alas, Dustin was somewhat suspicious.
