It's the FINAL countdown...
Today I gave lecture 5 of 6... yay for being almost done with that. Today the bossman actually had a meeting to attend, so he didn't sit in on this one and snipe, which was a relief. But, he couldn't leave well enough alone. No. He got his jab in before I gave the lecture. Nothing is ever good enough, and there will never be comments of a job well done. I already know this. Why? Because he's mad that I'm leaving. It is really sad, but it is getting easier to let his comments go in one ear and out the other. Amazing what understanding a person's motivation will do for you.
So I have one more lecture to rip apart and rebuild to give on Thursday. In the mean time, I have samples to submit to sequence, two AFLP gels to run, and a patent to finish writing. I'm supposed to be finishing data analysis on another project as well, but I think I'm just gonna have to e-mail him all of that.
So it continues to be a busy week, but I think it'll be manageable. Each little hurdle I clear gets me closer to the goal.
In addition to all the work stuff... it's Holy Week! It is my favorite part of the church year, and I'm a little sad that lent this year for me wasn't what it usually is. I feel like Ash Wednesday was last week, and here I am making preparations for Easter worship. Since this is the week that I will be in church at least 1x/day Weds - Sun. But I love Easter. The best part of Good Friday this year? It's my last day in this job.
